Man left in stitches at brutal opening message from Tinder match about his shoes

Another day, another exchange between people looking for love - but going about it the wrong way.

Or possibly the right way - the man who received the brutal message did find it rather funny after all.

Podcast host Mat George was left in stitches by his potential match's opening message - and shared it with his 55,000 followers on Twitter.

He joked: "My tinder match just roasted the f*** out of me as an opener and I’m kinda into it."

In order to understand the context, he shared a photograph of himself which is on his profile, showing him standing with a woman who has just graduated.

Luckily Mat found it hilarious (matchu_chutrain/Twitter)

She's dressed up to the nines and Mat, who hosts dating podcast She Rates Dogs, is dressed a little more casually in a shirt, jeans and sandals.

The message, from Brian, said: "Omg Mat, can you please come to my graduation ceremony?

"I worked so hard and I'm graduating with honors and it would mean the world if you came!!"

Mat's profile went viral after he shared the exchange on Twitter (matchu_chutrain/Twitter)

Jokingly continuing, while pretending to be Mat, Brian continued: ""Yes of course!! I can't wait to wear my flip flops!!"

The hilarious message has gone viral - with more than 13,000 retweets and 362,000 likes.

One person joked: "It was deserved."

A second said: "You have met your soul mate. This is exactly what this is."

And another asked the key question - why was Mat wearing flip flops to the graduation ceremony?

He explained by showing his reply to the guy: "Hahahah F***, It was Arizona and very hot ok."

One person replied: "That's rude of them. You have some beautiful feet. Why not show them off."
