Man left feeling 'physically sick' after finding 'foot' in his salt and pepper chicken

A man says he was left feeling "physically sick" after finding a 'deep-fried chicken foot' in his takeaway meal.

The customer, who remains anonymous, claims he ordered a salt and pepper chicken dish and was excited to tuck in, but soon he wasn't so hungry.

He found an oddly shaped piece of chicken, and when he looked at it closer he realised it was an entire chicken's foot, as North Wales Live reports.

Somehow it had managed to slip past quality control at East Eat takeaway, in Colwyn Bay, Wales, and when the customer rang up to complain he claims they laughed at him before hanging up.

He said: "I honestly didn't even process it at first, I pulled out the first piece of chicken and took a bite.

"Following this I looked into the meal and noticed the oddly shaped piece, which made me put out what I had in my mouth in disbelief.

"As anyone would imagine, seeing what I was holding in my hand really put me off the rest of my meal.

"I knew and couldn’t continue eating the meal, I physically felt sick."

The customer said he contacted the takeaway and claims they hung up the phone on him after he complained.

He continued: "After trying to explain to them what they had served me, they just went silent, laughed, and then seconds later the line went dead.”

North Wales Live has contacted East Eat several times for a response and they have declined to comment.

The takeaway is currently awaiting a Food hygiene rating which is believed to have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
