Man knocked unconscious during unprovoked attack by gang of teenagers in Portishead

A gang of teenagers unleashed a brutal unprovoked attack on three men, knocking one unconscious and fracturing the other's jaw.

Avon and Somerset police has launched a huge appeal to trace the attackers following the assaults in Portishead at around 11.50pm on Friday (April 5).

The men had just left the Old Mill pub and were in the High Street area when they were approached by a group of teenagers and assaulted.

The offenders were all wearing hooded tops and were described as being in their mid to late teens.

One of the victims, a 32-year-old man, suffered a fractured jaw. A second man was knocked unconscious while the third victim suffered facial injuries.

A force spokesman said: "If you saw any part of this incident, or have information on who could be responsible, please call PC Jason Wareing on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219075579."
