Police wish to speak to a man after two people were assaulted near their home.
On June 12, 2022, it was reported that a man and woman in their 50s were attacked by an unknown man outside their home on Sefton Drive, Aigburth. At around 9pm, the victims walked out of their front door after spotting two men in a van parking up next to a skip which was situated close to their home.
The driver stayed in the van while the passenger got out and took pieces of wood, bricks and other materials from the van, throwing them into the skip. The two victims then questioned the man about what he was doing.

The man then punched the woman to her stomach, pushing her to the ground. He then knocked the man unconscious with a punch to the face.
The driver of the van drove off in the direction of Ullet Road, with the offender running after him fleeing the scene. Both victims attended hospital and have since made a full recovery.
Since the incident, a 31-year-old man from Wrexham has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
