Man kissed woman's neck as he assaulted her in lift of city apartments

A man sexually assaulted a woman while they were in the lift of a luxury apartments complex in Liverpool city centre.

It happened early in the morning of Sunday, September 19, at the Orleans House building in Earle Street in the heart of the city's commercial district.

The woman entered the lift shortly before 7am. While there, she was subjected to sexual touching by a man, who touched her waist and kissed her on the neck. The lift stopped and the victim got out.

Police now want to speak to the man pictured after extensive CCTV enquiries in the area.

Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: "This was an extremely distressing incident to experience and we are fully supporting the victim as our enquiries continue. The man may hold vital information to assist us.

"We're determined to find the person responsible and put them before the courts so if you can help, come forward and we will take action."
