LUCKNOW: Investigation in the case of a headless body found in Gudamba revealed a sinister plot of murder and deceit. It was found that the the accused, Shrikant, had killed his ‘friend’ Narendra Singh Chauhan, chopped off his head and dressed his body in his own clothes to show that it was actually Shrikant who had been killed.
Shrikant, who is already on the run in an old rape case, had killed Narendra because they both were in a relationship with the same woman, who was the wife of their common friend. All three men are painters.
Narendra’s decapitated body was found from a vacant plot in Gudamba on Saturday, two days after the murder. During probe which led to Shrikant, he behaved nervously and gave in.
ADCP, north zone, Prachi Singh said that until recently, Shrikant and Narendra were good friends and did not know that they were having an affair with the same woman.
“In time, Shrikant came to know that Narendra was also in an intimate relationship with the woman. That’s when he planned to eliminate Narendra,” she said.
