Man killed, two wounded in Park Manor shooting

A man was killed and two others wounded in a shooting Thursday in Park Manor on the South Side, according to police.

They were sitting in a parked vehicle about 2:15 p.m. in the 7100 block of South State Street when two males came up and opened fire, Chicago police said.

The injured driver drove to the 6300 block of South King Drive, where paramedics found the trio, police said.

A 30-year-old was struck multiple times and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the death.

A 21-year-old who was hit in the abdomen was also taken to the University of Chicago, and a 24-year-old who was struck in the armpit went to St. Bernard Hospital, police said. Both were listed in critical condition.

Area Central detective are investigating.
