
A MOTORCYCLIST was killed on Saturday after he crashed in West Wallsend.
Emergency services were called to Boundary Street after reports a motorcyclist had left the road and crashed. Lake Macquarie police attended and found the KTM 450 had crashed into trees and bushes near Bridge Street.
Members of the public and ambulance officers attempted to save the man, giving him CPR. However he could not be revived and died at the scene.
Police said a crime scene had been established and investigation into the crash was underway.
A man has died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the Lake Macquarie area yesterday.
Police called for anyone who may have witnessed the incident - or who has dashcam footage from the area at the time - to contact Lake Macquarie police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
