A man was fatally shot Tuesday in Stony Island Park on the South Side.
Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 1:59 p.m. found the 18-year-old unresponsive on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1800 block of East 86th Street, according to Chicago police.
He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
Area South detectives are investigating.
