A man died Sunday after being stabbed at an apartment building in South Suburban Chicago Heights.

On Saturday, officers responded about 10:30 p.m. to reports of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 19400 block of Glenwood Road, Chicago Heights police said. There they found 31-year-old Mark Robinson unresponsive lying in a hallway with an apparent stab wound.

He was taken to Franciscan Health Hospital in Olympia Fields for treatment, and later transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead Sunday morning, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy released Monday found Robinson died from a stab wound to the left armpit area, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators determined that Robinson was involved in an argument with an unknown male when he was stabbed, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Chicago Heights police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating.
