Man killed in South Chicago shooting: police

A man was killed in a shooting Friday in South Chicago.

The 35-year-old was found on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds at 12:43 a.m. in the 8800 block of South Burley Avenue, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the fatality.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
