Man killed in South Chicago shooting: police

A man died after he was shot multiple times, May 29, 2019, in the 8700 block of South Kingston Avenue.

He was shot in the head, chest, left wrist and right middle finger, police said

A man was shot to death Wednesday in South Chicago.

The 23-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 1:46 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Kingston Avenue when someone walked up, pulled out a handgun and started shooting, according to Chicago police.

The man was shot in the head, chest, left wrist and right middle finger, police said. He was taken to Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the fatality.

Area South detectives are investigating.
