A 37-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday at a home in West Pullman on the Far South Side, according to police.

Quentin Paxton was arguing with another male just before 7:15 p.m. at a home in the 11900 block of South Lafayette Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. The other male then left the home, came back with a gun and shot at the man.

Paxton was struck in the torso and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
