Man killed in Rosemoor crash

A man died after a crash Saturday in Rosemoor on the South Side.

James Willis, 71, was in a vehicle that struck a fixed object about 4:45 p.m. in the 10100 block of South Vernon Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 8:29 p.m. at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy found he died of multiple injuries from the crash and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Gresham.

Chicago police could not immediately provide details.
