
A man was killed in a shooting Monday in Roseland on the South Side, according to police.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 10:24 p.m. in the 700 block of East 106th Street and found the 28-year-old unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the chest, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.
No arrests have been reported. Area South detectives are investigating.
