A man was shot to death Tuesday while walking through Park Manor on the South Side.
The 27-year-old was walking with a woman, 29, about 2:30 a.m. in the first block of East 74th Street when he was gunned down from behind, Chicago police said. The shooter fled in an unknown direction while the woman ran to the corner of 73rd Street and Wabash Avenue.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene with several gunshot wounds to the body, police said. The woman was not injured.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the death.
