A 39-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Saturday in Lawndale on the West Side.
About 4:40 a.m., the man was traveling in the back seat of a vehicle in the 4400 block of West Cermak Road when the rear window was shattered, according to Chicago police.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head and was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified him.
