A man was killed in a crash on I-290 Sunday near west suburban Berkeley.
The 39-year-old was eastbound in a semitrailer about 11 a.m. on Interstate 290 near St. Charles Road when he lost control and struck another semi, Illinois State Police said.
The semis caught fire and Jamin Perry, of Minnesota, was taken to a hospital were he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
All eastbound lanes on I-290 were closed after the collision but reopened by 7:30 p.m., state police said.
