A 68-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
Tyrone Thomas Sr. was struck by what appears to be a dirt bike about 2 p.m. in the 800 block of North Homan Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Thomas, who lived on the same block, was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The dirt bike sped off in an unknown direction after the crash but the driver later turned himself in, police said.
Charges against him are pending.
