A man was shot to death and a teenage boy was injured Saturday in Homan Square on the West Side.

Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert found the 18-year-old lying on the sidewalk about 10:25 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Flournoy Street, Chicago police said. He had gunshot wounds to his chest and head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Tamyreon Jordan. He lived in Homan Square.

A 14-year-old boy was also shot in the left arm and was driven to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said. He told investigators he was standing on the sidewalk when he heard gunshots and felt pain.

No arrests have been reported as Area Four detectives investigate.
