Man shot, killed during argument in Fernwood: police

A man was fatally shot June 19, 2019, in the 10000 block of South Lowe Avenue in Fernwood.

A man was shot to death during an argument Wednesday in Fernwood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was arguing with someone about 1:50 p.m. in the 10000 block of South Lowe Avenue when the other person pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
