A 20-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a vehicle crash in Hegewisch on the Far South Side.

About 1:45 a.m., Jordan Moore, was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt south in the 13600 block of South Torrence Avenue when he lost control and struck an electrical box, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

His vehicle flipped on its side, police said.

Moore was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital and pronounced dead, police said. No one else was injured in the crash.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine his official cause of death.

The Chicago Police Department’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
