Man killed in Englewood: police

He was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center June 23.

A 28-year-old man was killed in Englewood on the South Side Sunday.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 3:54 a.m. and found the man lying outside in the 7300 block of South Oakley Avenue with a gunshot wound to his neck, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
