A 26-year-old man was killed Sunday in a drive-by in East Garfield Park on the West Side, authorities said.
About 10:15 p.m., he was standing on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of West Van Buren Street when someone inside a passing yellow sedan fired shots at him, Chicago police said. He was struck in his neck and chest.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
