Man killed in crash outside pub on the A487 in Gwynedd

A man has died following a crash outside a pub in Gwynedd.

North Wales Police were called to the single-vehicle crash on the A487 between Penrhyndeudraeth and Maentwrog shortly before 11.30am on Wednesday.

The incident, involving a blue BMW, occurred outside the Oakley Arms public house in Maentwrog on the A487. A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Wales Police has since offered its "sincerest sympathies" to the victim's family and confirmed the road was closed off to assist with investigations. The force has now appealed for witnesses to help with its inquiries.

Sergeant Raymond Williams of the roads policing unit said: "We'd like to offer our sincerest sympathies to the man's family at this difficult time.

"We are appealing to anybody who may have information, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A487 and who may have dash cam footage, to contact us immediately.

Witness can contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference number B001932.
