A man was shot to death Sunday in Chatham on the South Side.
About 10:45 p.m., the 21-year-old was standing outside a vehicle in the 8200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when he was shot in the back as another vehicle drove by, Chicago police said.
The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Libations Fields, of Roseland. Autopsy results Monday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.
No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
