A man died early Monday after he crashed into a median in Bucktown on the North Side.
The man, between 25 and 30 years old, was driving in the 2000 block of North Ashland Avenue about 1:55 a.m. when he struck a center median, Chicago police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified the man, but an autopsy Tuesday ruled his death an accident.
Police believe the car was traveling at high speed before striking the median. There were no other people in the car, police said.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
