A man was fatally shot Monday night in Brainerd on the South Side.
The man, 29, was buying a part for his car about 8 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 95th Street when two people approached and fired shots, Chicago police said.
He was hit twice in the chest and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
His name hasn’t been released.
No one was in custody.
