A man was shot to death Saturday in Brainerd on the South Side.
The 27-year-old was found with gunshot wounds to the chest, back and legs at 11:05 p.m. on the front steps of a home in the 9200 block of South Eggleston Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
Further details about the shooting are unknown as authorities have not located any witnesses, police said.
No one is in custody as detectives investigate.
