A man was killed and another was wounded Tuesday in Fifth City on the West Side.
About 2:23 p.m., a 34-year-old man was riding in a vehicle in the 300 block of South Homan Avenue when someone in a black SUV opened fire, Chicago police said.
The man was struck in the arm and took himself to Rush University Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
Later, a 37-year-old man, who was in a different vehicle, showed up with a gunshot wound to the head in a gray SUV at Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about the death.
