A man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Gresham on the South Side.
The two were seated in a vehicle about 7 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Emerald Avenue when people pulled up in a vehicle and opened fire, Chicago police said.
A 19-year-old was hit in the chest and pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
A 26-year-old was taken to the same hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. His condition was stabilized.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
