Man killed after falling from building while working in North Dublin

A man has been killed following a horrible workplace accident in North Dublin.

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating after the man, 30s, fell from a building while working in Santry this morning.

The incident happened at a site at St John's Court at around 11am.

A garda spokesperson said he was rushed to The Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

They said: "Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating a work place accident at a building site at St Johns Court, Santry on 18th December 2019 at approximately 11.00am.

"It is understood that a man in his 30s fell from a building he was working on. He was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

"A file will be prepared for the Coroners Office."
