A 41-year-old man was fatally struck by a tow truck Monday in Gage Park on the South Side.

Three unknown males were chasing him in the truck about 7:22 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 51st Street, Chicago police said. They hit him, got into a white car and sped off.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. He hasn’t been identified, but autopsy results found he died from his injuries and ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
