A Bellshill man was jailed for seven months when he admitted using a metal chain in two assaults.
Stuart McConville, 33, of Burnside Avenue, attacked his victims in Clyde Drive, Mossend, on May 20.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that he struck Thomas Clyde repeatedly on the head and body and also hit Craig Clyde once on the body.
McConville also admitted having an offensive weapon, namely the chain, and causing damage to a vehicle by striking it repeatedly with the implement.
