Man jailed following Bo'ness shop break-in after being caught by police dog

A man who broke into a shop in Bo'ness over the weekend has been jailed for 8-months.

Officers were alerted to an incident on Hope Street during the early hours of Saturday February 19, after a member of the public spotted a break-in.

The 27-year-old had made off but PD Chase managed to tracked him down.

He appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday and plead guilty.

Taking to Twitter, Falkirk Police said: "In the early hours of Saturday officers were called to a report of a man breaking into a shop in Hope St, Bo’ness.

"The suspect had made off but PD Chase tracked him down.

"The 27yr old man appeared at Falkirk SC yesterday & pled guilty. He was sentenced to 8 months imprisonment."
