A man who threw a glass at his wife was jailed for four months at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.
Kevin Hunter, 51, of no fixed address, admitted throwing the object which struck his spouse, Nancy, on the head, causing injury.
The assault happened at a house in Tweed Street, Larkhall, on April 17.
Sheriff David Bicket cut the sentence from six months due to Hunter’s early guilty plea.
