Man jailed after soiling himself while under arrest, revealing up to 40 grams of heroin

A man has been jailed after soiling himself while under arrest, revealing thousands of pounds worth of drugs he was hiding.

Toby Brown, a 19-year-old from London, has been sentenced to 32 months after it was found he was hiding 40 grams of drugs on his person.

The teenager was arrested in connection with another matter and was referred to hospital as a precaution.

While waiting for an x-ray Brown soiled himself and police discovered up to £7,500 worth of drugs.

Brown pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A Drug, mainly heroin, at Bexley Magistrates court.

PC David Paine, from Greenwich Borough's Gangs Unit, said this method of hiding drugs was dangerous and the consequences are severe.

"Brown tried to avoid detection by hiding it internally, but it didn't work, and the court result proves we will get our hands dirty to ensure this type of activity stops", he said.

"He used a dangerous tactic to try and conceal drugs but nature took its course and, as a result, he will now spend a significant time in prison. This is a clear and strong message to others who choose to live this lifestyle that they can be caught."
