A man who had fallen into a 15ft hole at a construction site in California was hoisted out by rescuers on Wednesday (18 March).
Los Angeles County firefighters were called to a Pomona construction site after receiving reports that an individual had become stuck inside a hole at around 1.15pm.
Their heavy rescue unit used a hoist to pull the man out of the hole at around 3.20pm, with the rescue operation taking place in the sweltering heat.
Firefighters said that the man was not a construction worker and that no work was actively happening when the incident took place, CBS LA reported. It is unclear how he fell into the hole.
The man was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital. His condition is unknown, ABC7 reported.
