A man was beaten up and robbed on College Green - and his bank cards were later used in shops across the city centre, police have revealed.
Detectives have issued an appeal to find two men accused of attacking a 23-year-old man on his way home from a night out.
The attack happened in an alleyway off College Green at some point between 11.30pm and midnight on the evening of Sunday, May 26.
Police have today, August 13, issued an appeal to find the culprits, who then went on to use bank cards they stole from the victim in stores in Broad Quay and Old Market.
Officers issued a CCTV image of someone they believe can help with their investigation.
Police said the man was left injured in the assault, which began when two men hit him around the head.
“The 23-year-old victim was on his way home from a night out when two men hit him around the head. He fell to the ground, suffering cuts and bruising,” a spokesperson said.
“The men took his wallet, a gold-coloured Michael Kors watch and a plain gold-coloured chain. His bank cards were later used in shops in Broad Quay and Old Market.

“The robbery suspects are both black, in their early 20s, about 6ft 1ins tall and wearing dark-coloured clothing.
