A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot at a house in southern Tasmania overnight.
Shots were fired at a residence in Leyland Place at Bridgewater about 3:30am.
A 34-year-old man was injured in the incident and is being treated at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Police had said earlier his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
They do not believe the attack was random.
Investigations are continuing and police are calling for witnesses.
