Man injured in mishap in Jaipur, thief flees with his jewellery bag

JAIPUR: An unidentified thief decamped with a bag filled with diamond and gold jewellery worth several lakh from a jeweller who was lying injured on the road after being hit by a motorist in the Manak Chowk area of the city.

The incident took place on Thursday and the FIR in the case was filed on Saturday. As per the FIR, the incident took place when Sujan Manjhi and his friend were returning with gold ornaments from Cscheme. At about 8.45 pm that day, a scooterist hit Sujan.

He was injured in the incident when someone snatched his bag and fled. Sujan was taken to the SMS Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police said that CCTVs of the nearby areas, including outside a juice shop is being examined to identify the suspect.
