Man shot in bikie hit at speedway arrested for alleged bail breach

Ricky Chapman was arrested last night after undergoing surgery on Monday.

WA Police have arrested Ricky Chapman, who was injured in a shooting at a speedway in Perth's south on the weekend which claimed the life of Rebels bikie Nick Martin.

Taskforce Ravello officers arrested Chapman last night.

The 31-year-old was injured at Kwinana Motorplex on Saturday night and had surgery on Monday.

It is understood a bullet fragment was retrieved from his arm.

Police have said it was a single bullet which killed Martin and wounded Chapman.

He was arrested on a Department of Justice return to prison warrant.

The warrant relates to breaching parole conditions by associating with motorcycle gang members.

Chapman was jailed in 2016 for drug dealing.

The government announced a $1 million dollar reward for information that leads to the conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Mr Martin.

Mr Martin's widow has said Chapman, who was a Bandido, is not a patched bikie gang member.
