Man injured and robbed in Queen Square

Three robbers attacked a 21-year-old man causing him 'much distress'.

The victim suffered injuries during the assault at 3:30pm, on Wednesday (June 17) in Queen Square. However, he did not require hospital treatment.

His neck chain was also stolen but officers quickly found it thanks to the help of a member of the public.

Officers at Avon and Somerset Police have now launched an investigation into the robbery and have released CCTV images of three men they would like to trace.

PC Ewan Calder, investigating, said: “This unprovoked attack occurred in broad daylight, causing much distress to the victim.

“We require the public’s help in identifying these three men or contacting us if they have any other information about the incident.

The attack happened in June (Avon and Somerset Police)
