Man injured after alleged attack outside his own home

A man was taken to hospital following an alleged assault outside his own home in Neath Port Talbot.

Christian Scott-Davies, 33, claims he was was hurt after being approached at Graig Y Darren in Godrergraig at around 11pm on Monday, June 22.

He was treated for facial injuries and says he is now "too scared" to leave his house.

He says he had returned from visiting a friend, parked his car and was making his way to his house when he was approached and the alleged attack happened.

He made his way to his neighbour's house and called the police.

Mr Scott-Davies said of his injuries: "I'm covered in cuts and bruises. Main injury is my mouth. I have a split tooth, a cracked tooth and my tooth went into my gum. I now have cement and wire in place to keep it intact."

"I can barely walk or talk and I haven't slept. I've had bad dreams and I'm scared to leave my house," he said.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We were called to reports of an assault Graig Y Darren at about 11pm on June 22.

"A 33-year-old was taken to Morriston Hospital with injuries.

"A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding/grievous bodily harm without intent and is on police bail."
