Man in serious condition in hospital after falling from roof in Dundee

A man is in a serious condition after falling from a roof in Dundee .

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at West Marketgait in the city at around 3.05am on Thursday morning.

Police officers and the ambulance service rushed to the building directly across from Tayside Police HQ after a man in his 20s fell from the roof.

He was later taken to Ninewells Hospital , where he remains in a serious condition.

Police say that the man was speaking with two women nearly an hour before the incident and are appealing for them to come forward with information.

The Dundee force say that a large enquiry has already taken place and the man’s identity has been confirmed.

He has been described as 5ft 8ins, of slim build with long scruffy hair and a beard.

The injured man was wearing a blue check shirt and jeans at the time of the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “If anyone had contact with him prior to his going onto the roof, we would like to hear from you.

“We would particularly like to speak with two women who were seen speaking with him around 2:15am at the archway leading from West Marketgait into Brown Street.

“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. Our reference is incident 0363 of October 17.”
