Man in 'serious' condition at hospital after disturbance at Ayrshire house

A man has been left in a serious condition in hospital following a disturbance at a house in Ayrshire.

The 35-year-old was injured at a home in Kerrmuir Avenue in Hurlford in the early hours of yesterday morning at around 1.35am, police confirmed today.

The man was rushed to hospital where he remains for treatment and medics describe his condition as "serious".

A police van was still stationed on the street that the incident took place at last night.

Cops now say that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

"Around 1.35 am on Monday ,16 August, 2021, a 35-year-old man was injured following a disturbance in a house on Kerrmuir Avenue in Hurlford, Ayrshire.

"The injured man was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where he remains for treatment.

"Medical staff describe his condition as serious. Enquires in to the incident are ongoing."
