Man in serious condition after car flips in crash with stray horses

A man remains in hospital in a serious condition after a three car crash on the M56.

Emergency services were called to the M56 eastbound, at around 6.58am, on Monday, January 10, to reports of a crash involving stray horses.

One of the drivers involved in the crash was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Cheshire Police has today confirmed that man remains in a serious condition after the crash near to junction 10.

Officers confirmed the crash - which left one car flipped on its roof - also involved two horses which were on the carriageway.

The junction 10 exit slip road remained closed while investigation and recovery work took place for most of the day.

On Monday, a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 6.58am on, Monday 10 January, emergency services were called to a three vehicle collision on the M56 eastbound junction 10.

"The collision also involved two horses which were on the carriageway.

"One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Emergency services remain at the scene and junction 10 slip road is closed."
