Man in 'serious but stable' condition after crash on University Boulevard

A man is in a 'serious but stable' condition after a crash on University Boulevard which closed the road for several hours.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Wednesday, July 17.

Emergency services, including East Midlands Ambulance Service and Nottinghamshire Police were at the scene, directly outside Lakeside Arts and near Nottingham Tennis Centre.

The crash involved a car and a man, who was taken to Queen's Medical Centre with serious injuries.

The air ambulance also landed on a field at the University of Nottingham.

The crash caused major delays across the city, with many bus services delayed by up to 20 minutes while police carried out an investigation.

The westbound and eastbound carriageway were closed, but reopened later in the evening.

Trams were also affected, with no service running through the university stop.

Police have said that 'no arrests have been made' and the man is in a 'serious but stable' condition at Queen's Medical Centre.
