Man rushed to hospital with stab wounds after serious assault in Cardiff

A man was taken to hospital after a serious assault on Howard Street in Cardiff.

South Wales Police were called to the road in Splott around 8pm on Friday (January 15), after a 32-year-old man was injured in a serious assault.

Police said he was being treated for puncture wounds at the scene by paramedics.

He was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A cordon put in place at the scene has since been removed. Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
