Man in hospital with 'serious' neck injury after brutal daylight attack on Scots street

A man is in hospital with a 'serious' neck injury after a brutal daylight assault on a Glasgow street.

Cops have launched a probe into the attack which took place on Burnhouse Street at Collina Quadrant in the Maryhill area of the city around 1:30pm on Saturday.

The 29-year-old victim was left with a serious injury to the neck and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police have now appealed for witnesses to the incident which they are treating as a serious assault.

Detective Constable Katrina Keogh of Greater Glasgow police division urged anyone with information to come forward.

She said: “I am appealing for information from the public to help with our investigation. I would ask anyone with dash-cam footage or any witnesses to come forward.”
